Embedded Windows Media in Firefox I recently repaved my machine, and so had a fresh install of Firefox (1.5). Windows Media files would not play "inline" in the browser - I would just get the "missing plugin" icon. The page below has a detailed description of the issues, what to check etc. Step-By-Step Guide: Embedded Windows Media in Firefox - MozillaZine Forums Quick answer: "about:plugins" shows the current FF plugins. Apparently there are other situations that cause obsolete data to remain in the doc (fast save, personal user info, etc) Remove hidden data in Microsoft Word documents And here's a tool from MS to remove hidden data. Posted 7:51 PM | 0 comments | Permalink ![]() Today I helped bring my college buddy's Dell laptop back from a BSOD (corrupt registry). I had to reinstall Windows to another directory, just to be able to boot the machine, and get the data off the HD. Anyway, then I had to hassle with Dell to find what drivers I needed for her machine. Turns out, given a service tag number, you can get the list of original hardware that you bought.
