I haven't gotten a chance to try Vista, but why would people turn UAC off? I've been running as non-admin on XP for a few years now, and I personally think it was the best move I ever made. The bad news is there are many apps out there with developers who either don't know or don't care that their apps are problematic. But really, that HAS to change because of Vista. Grandma at home isn't going to be turning off UAC... she won't know how.
